This website and the KITE application ("Service") are operated by Solid Grid Systems GmbH, Bundesallee 187, 10717 Berlin, Germany ("we", "us", "our").
These Terms govern your use of the KITE application and any related services. This includes purchases made on kitesampler.com through our payment provider Paddle.com, as well as in-app purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use KITE. KITE Free is licensed to you free of charge on every platform we ship. The paid upgrades are separate products, and each one is limited to the platform it was bought for. KITE Desktop Pro, bought on kitesampler.com, covers the desktop application on macOS and Windows together with the VST3, CLAP and AUv3 plugin versions. KITE Mobile Pro, bought as an in-app purchase through the App Store or Google Play, applies only to that app on the store account it was bought with: an App Store unlock does not cover the Android app, a Google Play unlock does not cover the iOS app, and neither includes the desktop application or the plugin versions. In all cases you may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or resell the software or any license keys.
KITE Free is available at no cost on all supported platforms, with no time limit. It includes loading and editing samples, chopping, one sampler engine, the step sequencer, chaining patterns into Sections, and saving, opening and bouncing projects. The features listed as Pro in section 3 require the corresponding purchase. A project created with Pro features opens and plays in KITE Free; editing those parts requires Pro on the platform you are working on.
Payments for purchases made on kitesampler.com are processed by Paddle.com, who acts as the Merchant of Record for those transactions. Paddle handles billing, sales tax, and invoicing on our behalf, and by completing such a purchase you also agree to Paddle's terms of service. In-app purchases are sold and processed by Apple or Google as the seller of record, under that store's own terms. Refunds follow the same split — see our refund policy.
KITE Free needs no account. A Desktop Pro purchase on kitesampler.com comes with a KITE account, which is how you activate your installations. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and license key. One license is valid for one user. An in-app unlock does not create an account and does not need one — the store you bought it from carries the entitlement, and you can restore it on the same store account.
The contents of this website and application have been created with the greatest possible care. However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the content. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solid Grid Systems GmbH shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany.
